Todd Stuart is an Assistant Teaching Professor and the Director of Arts Management & Entrepreneurship at Miami University in Ohio. He holds an MFA and MBA from the University of South Carolina and a BA from the University of Florida.
He has worked professionally in theatre and was involved in start-ups in theatre, design and the consumer goods industries. His research interests center on the intersection of strategy, innovation and design thinking in arts entrepreneurship. He teaches Design Thinking, Arts Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Arts at Miami.
He conducts workshops for organizations, faculty, staff and students on creative problem solving. He is part of two start-ups - one focusing on photography and the other on creating sustainable opportunities for artist and arts leaders.
Todd is the recipient of the 2018 Gary D. Beckman Research Award in Arts Entrepreneurship from the Society for Arts Entrepreneurship Education. This award is the top research award in the field of Arts Entrepreneurship and recognizes pioneering research in the field.
